Shalimar is the world’s first oriental perfume. The Eau de Parfum Shalimar is a mythological scent with notes of bergamot, iris, and vanilla; an intense wake with a touch of impertinence, always glowing, and represents skin-caressing sensuality with a sense of the forbidden. Shalimar, which means “temple of love” in Sanskrit, represents the promise of eternal love forevermore. It was inspired by the intense love story of an emperor and an Indian princess. It’s a scent of desire. Raymond Guerlain’s Shalimar bottle won first prize at the Paris Decorative Arts Show in 1925. Its curves were influenced by the famous Shalimar gardens’ basins.
